I’m João, a Porto-based UX designer and strategist passionate about turning complex challenges into simple, intuitive digital experiences. Over the past 20 years, I’ve helped teams across a range of industries—including Technology, E-commerce & Retail, Hospitality, Automotive, and Business & AI services—create user-centered products that drive real business impact.

Personal journey

I've been fascinated by digital interfaces for as long as I can remember—whether it was the control panels in sci-fi movies, the interface in my favorite games, or the devices I used every day. This curiosity pushed me to start coding early on, just to understand how these interfaces were built and what made them work. As I learned more about the mechanics behind the screens, I realized that what truly drew me in was not just how interfaces functioned, but how they could be designed to make technology feel natural and intuitive. That blend of technical understanding and a passion for design naturally led me to UX, where I could combine both to create digital experiences that genuinely help people.

• Human-Centered Research: I dig deep into user needs with interviews, surveys, and usability testing, ensuring every design decision is grounded in real insights.
• Strategic Design with Figma: I use Figma daily to create everything from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes, building scalable design systems and collaborating seamlessly with developers and stakeholders.
